Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
This policy explains how Mosswell Apps ("we") handles data in the Comment Insight Fields for Jira app ("the app").
Summary
- The app runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform. It sends no data to servers operated by us or by anyone else.
- We cannot see your Jira data.
- We do not sell, share or use your data for advertising or AI training.
What the app reads
To work, the app reads the comments of work items on your Jira site, including the comment text, author account ID, creation date and visibility settings.
What the app stores
- In your Jira site, as values of the app's four fields: the first 250 characters of the latest public comment, the Atlassian account ID of its author, its date, and the number of public comments. These values are stored by Jira under your site's data residency settings.
- In Forge app storage: only the progress of the one-time sync (a status and a number of processed work items). No personal data.
Comments restricted to a role or group and Jira Service Management internal notes are not stored.
Permissions
read:jira-work: read work items and comments.write:jira-work: write the app's field values.storage:app: save the sync progress.
Logs
Atlassian's platform keeps technical logs of the app (for example error messages) for a limited time. We use them only to fix problems. Logs do not include comment text.
Retention and deletion
Field values stay on your work items until you delete the fields or the work items. If you uninstall the app, Atlassian removes the app's storage. You can remove the field values by deleting the app's fields in Jira settings.
Support emails
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and delete them within 24 months after the issue is closed.
